Cochem
Cochem is certainly the best-known town in the Moselle Valley. A beautiful place considered one of the most beautiful towns in Germany, presided over by the magnificent Reichsburg Castle, built in 1875 in the Gothic style, on top of a hill from where it overlooks the entire valley.
Walking through the sloping streets of Cochem and visiting the Marktplatz, its central square, is like stepping back in time. I recommend you sit in one of its restaurants to taste its famous Riesling grape wines, a white variety that represents a large part of the production of the Moselle wine region.
