Pronghorn Antelope

This antelope is famous for speed. It can with no trouble out-sprint most predators at velocities as high as 60 miles an hour. Fascinatingly enough, a pronghorn antelope is not in fact an old world antelope, and belongs to North America. Actual antelopes are fairly fast, but not as speedy as the pronghorn. The pronghorn is faster than the predators which live in North America. This looks to point to that it evolved its huge speed at some point in the history under the danger of a now-extinct predator, possibly the American cheetah.
